Maybe I'm Crazy

Maybe I'm Crazy

A Poem by zaneybear

All of a sudden,

these walls come to life,

growing faces,

just staring at me.

With their blank expressions,

I try to stare back,

looking softly to one side.

If i look straight through,

then I might not believe

Am i really crazy?

Do these walls?

Do they really talk?

Are they staring at me?

Without a care?

With decieving eyes?

Waiting for another

Helpless soul to fnd them.

Wander into the dim room,

get sucked into the past.

To suffer the same misery as I have,

Just seconds ago.

I believe that the walls in the piece are a representation of other people in the crowd. Most likely those that one feels might be road blocks and or oppressors of one's inner spark. Or the walls might be a phobia and the faces and feelings...simply that... emotional ghosts of issues unresolves or haunting past memories.

I can relate to this piece. I've been surrounded by walls such as you describe... I've learned no wall is stronger than a persons own inner will or drive. Misery is temporary and memories are lifes' learning lessons. That's how I see it. =) Thanks for writing!

sounds relevant to my life I've seen the walls take different visuals. Humans are mystical and can perceive many so called hallucinations. if you get stuck in crazy vile just try and engage them but keep confidence.
