Chapter Two

I think we need to hear more from Gabe.

GABE'S POV

Gabe could feel how fast his heart was racing in his chest. This was insane. He had been waiting for this moment since Ms. Leaf Johnson had announced that they would be taking this field trip almost two months ago. He had fantasized about getting this chance to meet Gabe since then. Imaging what he would do if he got the chance to be alone with him...

Suddenly, he was yanked out of his thoughts by Will waving his hand in front of his face. 

"Hey, Gabe." He said. "What's up? You're completely spacing out."

Gabe blushed. "Um I was just thinking about some stuff."

"Like what?" Will asked.

"Oh, you know. Stuff." Gabe responded. He felt bad for avoiding Will's questions but he didn't feel comfortable admitting how attractive Will was. What if Will didn't feel the same way? That had happened to Gabe in the past. Straight boys sometimes just wanted to feel edgy by acting like they wanted another guy. Or they're just a******s that like playing with other people's feelings. The last time Gabe had fallen for another guy was over a year ago and he had been crushed when the boy had posted their personal conversations and roasted him on twitter. He was still damaged from that but this whole thing with Will had taken him completely by surprise and had happened out of the blue. It's not like Gabe was looking for love. Things just happen sometime.

"Hey, you're doing it again." Will said. "Talk to me. I want to spend this time getting to know the man I've been texting."

"What do you want to know?" Gabe asked.

They spent the next hour talking about everything, from their families to their favorite shoe brands to their favorite piece of Cutullus poetry. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Logan appeared.

"Hey Gabe. What are you doing with Will?"

"What do you mean, Logan?" Gabe responded.

"I mean, you would have a lot more fun if you hungout with me and my boyfriend, if you know what I mean." Logan said.

"Umm...I'm not really sure what you mean I don't think." Gabe said.

"Meet us in the supply closet on level 2 next to the painting of the waterfall if you want to find out." 

At this point, Gabe looked over Logan's shoulder and realized her boyfriend was leaning against a pillar and staring at him. He waved and winked at Gabe. 

"Logan, you can clearly see I'm busy with someone else here. I'm no tgoing to jeopardize my future with Will just for ten erotic freaky minutes with you and your weird boyfriend. No offense, but I'd much rather spend my time with Will."

Logan looked Will up and down, and then called her boyfriend over. "Looks like they're a package deal."

"Wait, what?" Gabe said, confused.

"We can handle both." Logan's boyfriend, Jesse, said.

"HELL NO!" Will and Gabe said at the same time. 

"We're leaving." Gabe said as he pulled Will away towards the staircase. "C'mon Will, lets go look at some modern stuff."

WILL'S POV

Will stared at Gabe and wondered how he got so lucky. His face lit up when he saw a painting he liked. He got excited when they found poetry he recognized. Will could see him staring at him out of the corner of his eye. He blushed when he later caught Will staring back.

Will was falling for him. Hard.

Will couldn't take this anymore. It was torture to be able to look at Gabe like this and not be touching him. He wiped his sweaty palms on his jeans and gave himself a pep talk before he gently reached out and laced his fingers through Gabe's hand. 

Gabe seemed startled at first, like he wasn't expecting it. Then, he relaxed and Will could feel him gently rub his thumb against his knuckles. Will's heart was racing at the feeling of Gabe's touch.

"I'm so glad I met you, William." 

Will closed his eyes and took a deep breath. "I think I'm falling in love with you Gabe. I really really like you."

Gabe's eyes widened. "Really? Oh my god. I feel the same way Will. But um listen...I've been hurt a lot in the past. I'm scared of being hurt again." 

Will looked into Gabe's beautiful eyes. "Listen, I can't promise that this will work out completely. But I can promise that I will never intentionally hurt you."

Suddenly, Gabe was leaning in closer. Will couldn't believe this was happening. He leaned in to until their lips were almost touching and then...

"HEY WILL! GABE!" Caroline screamed.

Damnit. Will thought. Right when it was about to get good. 

Caroline, Gina, Melanie, Abby, Emily, Mikayla, and Claire were all running towards them. 

"Did you guys check out the naked greek people? So many dicks!" Abby said.

"I wish they had a Harambe statue. I'm a little disappointed he's not being as respected as he should be." Claire said.

"Wait..." Mikayla said. "Did we interrupt something?" 

Suddenly, everyone noticed how close Gabe and Will were standing. Everyone stared at their clasped hands. 

Emily's mouth dropped open. "Oh. My. God."

Gina covered her mouth and started crying tears of joy. "You guys!!"

Caroline grinned and said, "you two better invite us all to the wedding!"

Abby just dabbed and said, "I PREDICTED THIS. I'VE SHIPPED YOU TWO SO HARD ALL TRIMESTER."

Will blushed out of embarrassment and ran his fingers through his hair. "Hey, you know I love you all but we were kind of in the middle of something..."

Melanie looked shocked and said, "WERE YOU ABOUT TO DO IT??"

"NO!" Gabe said. Then looking at Will he said, "I mean, I don't know were we?"

"Do what?" Emily said, confused.

 "You know...IT." Abby said. 

"OH MY GOD." Emily said. '

"We should go, they were in the middle of something." Melanie stated.

"Um no way! We have to watch them to make sure they AREN'T getting each other pregnant." Caroline said.

"Wait, huh?" Will said. 

Caroline pushed them apart and looped her arms through both of theirs. "C'mon boys. Let's go have a nice PG field trip."

Gabe looked at Will and just shrugged and laughed.
