My Life Is To Die

It may change your mood-I kinda like it-enjoy!

                       MY LIFE IS TO DIE

I see I see as those who came before me as sure as the clouds hide the sun from my eyes there in the distance a voice waves good-bye, I’ll never know them, but as for me
My life is to die
In as much as I have seen and heard the sound of terror across the earth
please do not delay our flight to the mountain of rivers of joy and cold flowing fountains
bye and bye, throw away the old and put on the new, but as for me
My life is to die
Who can observe the beauty of the sky for it speaks a language that none can reply
Who knows when or why the wind swirls selflessly over our ears
to give us hope and calm our fears, but as for me
My life is to die
So let's make a joyful noise to the Creator that the life beneath the sea may rejoice and
the builders of heaven look down, but as for me
My life is to die

When I wrote this, I had a vision that this world and the things in this world was like looking through a smoke glass. I then realized the real world is the world where God's throne is. So. this poem was like a eulogy to this world

The envisioning charms the reader and brings out the bare truth ! good read up there.

You gave mother earth such integrity , i felt honored to be alive and appreciate the little and yet profound things mother earth has to offer. I often find myself looking up at the skies in complete awe, sometimes wishing that i can fly away someday. but thats wishful thinking. haha.
i truly enjoyed this piece, thank you so much :)

This is a truly heart felt piece, great imagery and personification.

This is very artistic, which is a rare thing to find in poetry or writing in general these days.
"voice waves good-bye" _ i loved the personification

"Who can observe the beauty of the sky for it speaks a language that none can replyWho knows when or why the wind swirls selflessly over our ears"

I liked the imagery in that line. It made me feel....idk somewhere else.

Wow, that is really deep. Even for me, and I am a deep person. Ha! i think it's great you delve into spiritual sort of things, since I don't see that subject portrayed in a lot of poems here on this site. but great job.

There is an interesting flow to this poem, not to mention you have a clever way of phrasing things (e.g., a voice waves goodbye, flight to the mountain of rivers of joy and cold flowing fountains, builders of heaven, and not to mention the part where you theorize the sky has its own language).

This is an overall intriguing and ambitious attempt.
