My Poor Darling Old Girl

My Poor Darling Old Girl

A Poem by humbleServant

My poor darling old girl
her sister died today
on her birthday.
I can only imagine what it's like to have a dearly loved
family member
die on the day you were born.
We talked for a while on the phone.
She's holding up
but . . .
I told her I am here. . .
When I am not working
I am here
and I meant it
she can call every night if she needs to.
