Love the structure of the poem, and the idea seems to capture the regret and depression...anyway great job, it is truly something "fresh"

starts out with a great flow and rhythm , your rhyme scheme was pretty much gone after the third stanza leaving the reader wanting for more, great starting idea, looks like you have some potential for an excellent writer you just need to polish your style a little to remain more consistent.

I realize that it blends from poetry to prose, which is something that can be said for most of my poetry. You could say it's my trademark style, I guess. I have a tendency to start out in a very poetic mindset and as the idea takes hold I just roll with it right into the prose of what's going on in my mind. I saw that you are from MS. I'm from Corinth. I used to write in college and won a few state awards back then, during my time at NEMCC. I've been out of the writing circle for quite some time, but I'm slowly moving back into it now. Good to see another MS writer on here being active. Most of my friends don't get on the site anymore. Thank you for the review. I really appreciate any and all feedback. Thanks.

I rebelled against writing on the pc for as long as I could, but the world had moved on and I had to play catch up. LOL. I would have never put "LOL" in anything, even a comment, years ago. I think it's a double edged sword in a way. It makes it so much easier, but it has it's drawbacks. I wrote this particular poem on a notepad. It's a process, but it works.
At 15, you have all the potential in the world. As you gain wisdom and go through new experiences in life, your writing will only flourish more. I'm very impressed that you, as young as you are, have an interest in writing. Most people your age are into other things that I still don't quite understand. Ha! I'm almost thirty and the high schoolers now are like aliens to me. Gosh, time flies and things change so fast. Still, you give me hope that there is a future for writing and poetry. For that, I thank. Please, keep writing and I will strive to read and respond.

as for having potential you must be seeing something i do not, i have a lot to learn and grow in should i even see myself as having potential.

So many youth waste their lives on TV and video games nowadays. For you to see the value and necessity of literature is hope-inspiring. The world is changing to a smorgasbord of reality TV and smart phone apps. Most people don't realize that all of these ideas and inventions of our time were created long ago in the minds of science fiction writers, most dead and unaware of the impact their writing had on modern life. Fiction drives reality, in a way, and I fear that when it dies, so to does this world. We are at a crossroads, created by the very idea that it threatens to destroy, and you give me hope. Literature is what started this, even down to this very conversation, and I hope to never see the end of interest in the craft. Sorry if I'm being long-winded here, I just get that way when I talk about it. Ha! I'll let you get back to writing. The world needs it.
