if you wanted to

if you wanted to

A Poem by huma

I give up thinking.
jealousy is food for
those other birds;
different feathers,
entirely.

My eyes change
naturally
from blue
to green
and back again
depending on
how the light
moves.

Only the pupil
Of my eye
remains forever
Unchanging.

You could almost
fall
right through it…

right now

if you wanted to

wonderful imagery of a constant, the pitch dark pupil, resembeling a constant and unchanging "love"? to someone dear. Thank you for sharing

=)). Bizarrely comforting. I love it!! 'Jealousy is food for other birds" How I wish I could show this line to so many people. I also love the illusion of falling through the pupil of your amist the everchanging iris. Nice job. Thanks for sharing!
