i wonder if he thinks of me as i think of him.

i wonder if he thinks of me as i think of him.

A Poem by Hugo Kiely

he speaks the most beautiful things
his words sound of silk and powdered sugar

he has blue eyes
eyes that entrance and hypnotise
eyes that drown you in their melancholy oceans

he is sweet smelling and

he is kind hearted and

he is perfect.

but

i have no words to speak
my voice sounds of gravel and salt

i have black eyes
eyes that scare and confuse
eyes that encourage you to look away

i am sad

and i am self-centred

and i am flawed.

but he likes me.

i wonder why.

i wonder if he thinks of me as i think of him.
