To late

To late

A Poem by child of God

A Dozen roses at her head,
a silent tribute to the dead
Ah, yellow of course,
Her favorite color too
But does she see or can she now
Or are they just an empty show
All her life she'd hope and wait
Alas they came ,too late

Many good lines in the poem for a good title. "A dozen roses or Too late" stood out. I like the poem. Create visions and sadness. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Nice poem. Not sure of the meaning behind it besides the superficial one on the surface, but it is a nice read. Good title, by the way, wittily honest.

It's never too late.
For whom is the flowers really for?
I would be saddened to tears if death meant nothing more then hanging around my grave.
Bringing flowers to a grave is actually meant for the bringer to say goodbye and find a sense of release in a loving way.Or sometimes asking forgiveness.
I wrote a song a lot like this when I was young and many things like yours, many many years ago.
Now I would ask someone if I saw my old self in them this question.

Which would you rather do? Live forever in the pain and see only pain and draw only pain around you? Because the power of what you think... you get? Or would you rather walk away and refuse to see the pain as something that consumes and controls you. Would you rather see light love and color? Remember all three things are already in you. Bring yours out and watch the world of Light, love and color encompass you.
Smile and the world smiles with you, Cry and the world cries with you. Our outer world is the manifestation of our inner world.
someone used to see a maiden on a hill, she would stand thru the worst storms and rain and thunder and be found kneeling in muddy ground that was battled blood stained ground.
in her physical world sorrow followed her like a dark cloud.
Till one day she realized that maiden on the hill was her own soul self
and she realized this maiden on the hill always in despair because she always looked on the disparity.
This had to change. she realized the battle blood stained ground had already been fought and won. So she took and planted some Roses where the visions of the maiden kneeling in the mud was. and declared this battle ground won and at peace with beautiful roses to represent Love, Light and Healing. and that's exactly what encompasses her now.
As an older Sister I would remind you that there are no Broken girls. There are only broken thoughts.
Can't hold my eyes open, so I need to close, for now (((((Hugs))))) night and Sweet Dreams young Maiden.
