ETERNAL SLEEP

ETERNAL SLEEP

A Poem by Taylor

ETERNAL SLEEP

Sitting with my back against a wall
Holding the bottle in my hand
I stare off into space
Into memories of days past
Were there ever any happy moments?
Moments when I didnt feel the pain?
Didnt long to be taken away?
I am tired of living this lie
Tired of painting on smiles
Tired of pretending I'm happy
That everythings is okay when its not
Turn your back and let me be
You can't stop me don't you see
The fates hold the key not you nor me
I feel dizzy
I feel calm
A smile crosses my face
I feel the bottle fall from my grasp
I know this hell is coming to an end
I close my eyes
Slowly
Quietly
I fade into eternal sleep.

Nice. Beautiful words, more beautiful imagery. Great job!
