Bob the Goat

A children's poem/story. My kids love it!

Bob the Goat

 

 

Have you ever seen Bob in a boat?

Bob is a goat who drives a boat!

The boat does float which is great for Bob the goat.

 

Do you wonder how Bob the goat drives his boat?

Well, it really is quite silly.

Bob steers the wheel with his tail and has no need for a sail.

And he pokes along just like a snail.

He has been know to run into whales, who had to stop to check there tails.

 

But one day Bob the goat drove his boat over a whale’s tail.

The whale had enough of Bob the goat driving his boat.

The whale’s tail had been bumped and bumped too much by Bob’s boat.

 

So the whale moved slow as a snail up under Bob’s Boat and with a huge flick of his tale the boat went a sail and the goat went a float!

 

The whale smiled at the goat that was a float and said, “sorry about your boat. I think you will be better off without it and you better learn how to float!”

Author's Note

I love writing silly stories for kids! Need some opinions on this?! Maybe published??
I know its very silly but go back to being in k5 or first grade and reading it with matching illustrations. Need some feedback!

My kid would love this great little rhyming story. I found the rhyme scheme easy to follow and a probable would be a good work out for kids who need help with the "She sold seashells by the seashore" lesson. A great write for kids. Good job.
