Part 1 is about the life of a best friend

 

 

My best friend

Part 1

 

 

My best friend long ago had a beautiful life and a beautiful family.

She had a beautiful house and was happy.

Her children loved her and she loved them.

The best life that one could be given.

 

One day dark clouds of grey shadowed over her in dismay.

In her soul she felt fear and lifelessness, left with no words to say.

For earlier that day she had heard some news and prayed it wasn’t true.

But tears of sadness streamed down her face, for her heart was broken into.

 

Her family had been torn apart and life suddenly became hard.

She felt so ashamed and alone, for their was nothing that she could do.

Her children didn’t understand how something like this could happen.

For he had another life that he had kept hidden.

 

There were many years that tears of sadness streamed down their faces. Praying God would help give them a new start.

For she loved her children and wanted to mend all traces,

But she knew in time that God would heal their hearts.

 

Many years have passed now and the children are grown.

Each one of them has a happy life of their own.

She also found someone who would dearly love her.

And promised to always be by her side, for there would never be no other.

 

She had a happy life again and a new loving family.

Seeds of love and joy from her heart were sown.

She loved each one as her own.

And memories of her past were left alone.

 

One day she had received an urgent phone call.

For it was from me and we had to meet.

She came over to my house and I asked her if she knew?

With fear in her eyes she stared at me and said, “I have no clue.”

 

I sat her down and gently broke the news.

That same dark cloud of grey shadowed over her that day.

She stared at me thinking how could this be?

For it has already happened to me.

More like story telling but it's nice to change it as a poem...Anyway, the last line makes the readers excited of reading the part 2...Good luck...This is a great poem... :)))

A very special piece about love and infidelity and the cost it has on families. I love this piece because it displays a lot of raw emotion and truth and that is what stands out in your poem the most. I dearly hope that you have never had to go through what this poem describes.

Me too.
We read this problem in the papers, see it in the
news, it`s everywhere, but the victim appears to
know it not. Is it possible that once the wedding
bells are stilled, one of the parties is no longer a
participant in the other life ?
I look forward to the solution in the next part of
your story.
