okay it's late..I've had a long day..how bad can it be ;)

For The Love Of Writing

The writing may be dodgy,

the idea's a tad mundane.

I'll give it my all anyway 

as I love it just the same.

The flow may not go like 

other writer's I know,

and it may not contain

any wisdom.

The intelligence and wit may

be lacking a bit as I struggle

with words, trying to fit them.

But it's what I've got, and will 

have to do, until one day I find

I write as nicely as you.

An important message to remember when intimidation halts your writing. I personally like that the stanzas have a bit of a jumbled rhyme scheme. It hits the point home in a meta sort of way that an individual's writing doesn't have to be like everyone else's or necessarily follow guidelines. And it certainly isn't a be-all-end-all that it be perfect. Writers write because they love to write, right? Thank you for posting this. It's easy to forget sometimes.

i find it the most closest to me... the last two stanzas says what i truly feel about my writing abilities.... the whole poem says some amazing things about writing, we are all in the process of getting better... full ratings.... one of your best...

you're right, you never stop learning, always something new to do or try..think that why sometimes i freeze because there is just so much out there to do. i'm glad you like it and can relate to it.hope it helps ;)

practice, practice, practice to no end, not for the sake of perfection, but for the love of writing - you'll find the meaning there, much genuine, much plainer, than if we aim for perfection's sake alone - i try to write regularly and read some regularly

exactly Zwsed , we all have days were we feel we arent good enoug, never will be etc but we are all good in our own ways and we can all improve and learn, we just have to keep going, keep taking advice and one day we will be exactly where we want to be...plus we get to enjoy the journey and the experience along the way. we must remember we write because we love it,,if some others dont it doesnt matter, there will be plenty that do and especially the person who worked so hard to create it :) thank you for your lovely response, we can learn together and not far from now look back and be amazed at how far we have come :)
