FOR MOTHER'S GONE AHEAD

You may not be with us.
You may have gone ahead,
but our love for you has stayed
with us, in our hearts and in
in our heads.
We remember your touch.
Your lips upon our cheeks.
Your love and your guidance,
our catch up's every week.
We miss the phone not ringing,
not hearing your voice the other end,
still writing text messages with no
number with which to send.
We love our departed Mother's.
We miss them everyday,
but smile in the knowledge
we will be together with them one day.

Sad and beautiful tribute I've imagined thousands of times what it would be like to lose my Mother but when that day comes I don't think I'll ever be ready

Really well done, this will ring true for so many."A mothers passing" was written from a male perspective (me) so is a more general view rather than that of mother/daughter.If you get a mo have a peek and see what you think.Again, well done

Beautifully sad poem. It's brave to write about something that might hurt or contain sad memories. But nicely done, not too depressive but a light sense of letting go and musing about the past.
