![]() Breaching BubblesA Poem by Heath Rumble![]() Just walked to the park one day and wrote a bunch of poems in the chilly October air. This was one about my mental/social state at the time.![]() I want to crash into someone. I want to plunge into someone’s life. Surround myself in the fluid of their thoughts; A cacophony of refracted light. It would be warm The warmth that lingers in your bed on a cold night That you eagerly slip back into Like a fresh baked pastry of blanket. For now, I’m bouncing off them They’re bubbles. There’re bubbles within bubbles. Infinity is impossible to comprehend. I thought this would be simpler. Flocking bubbles With no purpose to their amassment. They don’t pour into each other. So much air. So many bubbles. There’s something at the centre of her, Break through the dam, That’s all I want. Break through the dam. That’s all I thought to do. I want to break through The surface tension that defines her From the outsider’s eye. I wish to pour myself Into her beautiful concoction of Contrail blueprints. I dare the whisk To mix us into one another. But it would be our own movement. I’ll pour. I promise. The only way to live is to pour. Coalesce. Feel their warmth: The water in their breath. Vapor. Warm vapor feeling my skin. Surrounding me. In our meshed up Little globe Of celluloid and cytoplasm. © 2010 Heath RumbleAuthor's Note
