GreedA Poem by Davey Jones
With twisted sense and failing heart
I see you there eating with all your heart You see me and shrill with delight You mock me and beat me knowing it is wrong Even your thought are unpure and wrong As I scream with mercy you do not let up As I walk with pain and red in my eyes in rags I sniffle and cry as go to the ally where I must sleep Years later liberation has happened and i am wealthy and you are poor I see you when I am eating begging in the galore I come to you know what you have done to me But being smart I knew what was right I gave you money and broke your pride and left you to weep © 2012 Davey JonesAuthor's Note
