thinking of my mom on mothers day...the bestest mom ever..:-)
“Will you hold me?”
a young child cries,
the mother smiles,
Love in her eyes,
she lifts the child
on her lap to sit,
“Always” she smiles,
a most perfect fit.
“Will you hold me?”
A grown child grinned
the mother gladly hugs,
her touch has no end.
Wrapped in a comfort,
only a mom could fill,
a loving embrace
that when let go, stays still.
“Will you hold me?”
says the child with a child.
The mom says “Sure”
twinkling eyes, wrinkled smile.
The love for the child,
their child feels too,
tenderly held
moms love, always new.
“Will you hold me?”
Whispers a mom, now old
A teary eyed child
Knows just what needs told.
“Of course!,
That’s the way
it always will be,
because forever
in your heart mom…
You have always held me”
This shows what it takes to realize the greatest gift in life: love,
when taken proper care, as a mother most usually has natural instincts to love her child(ren) unconditionally,
the way a bear always holds tremendously to her cubs, a horse to her fowl, the sun to the rays, the moon to the stars, the love will never go astray. It's nice for a mother to hear after the diapers, in later years, that (she) was always appreciated, that she will always be hugged, that she will always be loved,
the give and take of people to people; the ones who remember who loved them so; those are the ones my own mother would say, or writ, she was proud to know.
My vocation of becoming a mother happened years after my mother died. Both my parents were taken at a young age, both of which I have already surpassed in years. But I still think of how it would have been, to have them age before me, and ever present in their grandson's life.
Thank you for the warm message this brought me, today!
No fair making me cry. This is so beautiful. Your mom is a very luck woman as I'm sure you are just as lucky to have her. The love you express in this is ...just perfect.
This is a beautiful tribute to your mother... extending to all those moms who care and give of themselves so selflessly. Just love the tenderness of this piece.

HI!... :-)
".."Look in thy heart and write" is good counsel for poets; but when a poet looks in his heart he finds many things there besides the actual. That is why, and how, he is a poet." ...C.S... more..
