Sunrise & heartbeat

Sunrise & heartbeat

A Poem by hoyt

Sunrise spills light in the air
      like blood in the veins
brings life to what it touches,
     and casts shadows like stains.

In the noon day sun
     stains fade, shadows flee.
light immerses the earth,
what night covered now  is free.

Sunset, the light dims,
     shadows creep into sight.
stretching darkness like a blanket
giving birth once more to  night.

The sun rises yet again,
with each new day, dark departs
it’s light,, life repeated
…. a warm beat of earths heart.

This is really soulful....a warm touch of sunrise and a mellow feel of sunset just refreshes the whole soul and recharges for a new energy loss of the next day....I loved reading this....thanks for sharing :)

Sunrise/Sunset.. Two amazing parts of our days. I adore the serenity and excitement of a new day dawning. I equally adore the sun setting and telling us it is time to rest. You presented these two in perfect unison.. Such a delight to read. Your words are smooth...

I love the imagry and the way you have taken the reader through the whole day! softly flowing from the sunrise to the sunset, touching on all the lovely moments in between..
Beautifully done!
