Shall We Dance?

Shall We Dance?

A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

I thought of nothing else but you and how wonderful dancing could be.

"

You touched my shoulder, gentle
And asked me, “Shall we dance?”
And then you held me close to you
As they music drifted on the air
That swirled so tightly around us
And all at once I felt a shiver
Although my skin felt hot
And as I stood and swayed with you
Under that silver sphere
I thought of nothing else but you
And how wonderful dancing could be
