Hey, Little Stranger

Hey, Little Stranger

A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

Hey, little stranger, wait for me!

"

Hey, little stranger, wait for me!
So very long it’s been, you see
Since love was torn away from me
And now I’ve stitched my patchwork heart
So it’s ready for a different start

Hey, little stranger, hold my hand
Guide me through this strange new land
A world so bright, I’ve never seen
Such wonder right in front of me

Hey, little stranger, look over there
Two moons skating on open air
No other beauty could compare

Hey, little stranger, what’s happening there?
One moon’s falling from the air

Hey, little stranger, wait for me!

Hey, little stranger, where have you gone?
I only see one moon now
And this place has no sun
Hey, little stranger, where have you gone?
There’s only one moon now
And no golden sun

Hey, little stranger, the world’s gone cold
It’s numbed my fingers, I can’t feel my toes
The chill’s deep inside me, my heart’s beating slow
Hey, little stranger, I don’t want to go

Hey little stranger, I can’t hear your voice
There’s shouting all around me
This isn’t my choice

Hey, little stranger, please reach for my hand
Hey, little stranger, don’t you understand?

Hey, little stranger, I’m alive again
