Street peddlers throw their magic tricks

Silk and satin and lace- lust or love?

The dollar bill says they’re one in the same

And the tricks and schemes that fill the dreams
Of the more, more, more
More dollars
More lace
Deeper pockets
For more dollars

The children watch the cards fly by
But where’s the queen?
Can you find the lady?
The lady who dresses herself
In satin and lace
For the dollar bill

People today are controlled much too easily by two things: money and sex.
Once we've had a little, we want a little more. And a little more. And a little more.
