Did he whisper those sweet nothings,
or was it just the wind?
Did I feel his touch last night,
or was nobody here?
Am I all alone right now,
or is he in the room?
Is he watching over me,
or am I just a fool?

Were those feelings really real,
or was it all pretend?
Did my heart beat oh so fiercely
or was it just a trick?
Do I know what love feels like,
after knowing him?
Did he keep his promises,
did we have a chance?
Did he mean the words he said,
or was it all just lust?

I’ll wait for him forever
If that love was really true
And when I see him up in heaven
I’ll ask if he felt it, too
And maybe I will hold his hand
And walk off towards the sun
