Sand and Sea

I can’t help but feel that this is where I belong--
No one to bother
Just the music and me
And the soothing rhythmical waves of the sea
Sunset paints the clouds orange and pink
And all I do is sit and think
Hello my home of sand and sea
How kind of you to welcome me.

good wise words. I do enjoy the peacful calm meaning. I would like if you made it longer and perhaps used more metaphors. May I ask what makes you feel free in the opening lines. Are you soothed or is it more of a tranquil feeling? I was confused because you do mention that you are sothed by the sound but you also seemed tranquil because there are music and waves. I think that you captured the moment well but you could go so much more further than what you did. You could almost make the poem an out of body experience. What kind of Sand and Sea meaning beach are you talking about? An actual beach or your escape? My favorite line is "No one to bother just the music an me" it makes me reflect on a song that I wrote called Saint's and Sinners when I write "Just kicking it as the riff drifts on". It is very well done.

This poem is very nice. Short, simple and sweet. I find the beaches and the sea very fascinating! How I wish I could live on a seaside!
