Freedom

I forgot to let you know
Before you walked out my door
It only opens from the inside
And I’m not letting you in anymore

 

You can beg and plead and scream at me
But I still won’t let you in
I’ve thrown away your pictures
Now that I know what you are within

 

You should have thought twice
Before you let me go
Now I’m flying freely
With feelings you’ll never know

 

I suppose that I should thank you
For breaking my poor heart
If you hadn’t walked away from me
I wouldn’t have gotten this new start
