Kimi Ni Aitakute

Kimi Ni Aitakute

A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

Sweet sakura blooms in spring, though it is not as sweet as you.

"

Kimi ni aitakute…

Sweet sakura blooms in spring
Though it is not as sweet as you
Softly the morning bird sings
Though it is not as enchanting as you

Kimi ni aitakute…

The gentle breeze kisses my skin
Though it is not as comforting as you
The sun shines brilliantly from above
Though it is not beautiful as you

Kimi ni aitakute…

Daisuke desu
Daisuke desu

Let me be with you.

Author's Note

Lexi Nicole
I wrote this quite a while ago for my creative writing club. The prompt was to write about the heart.
Two key lines are written in Japanese, as you can see.
Kimi ni aitakute = I miss you/I want to be with you.
Daisuke desu = I love/like you very much.

I love this! I find Japanese a very beautiful language that reminds me very much of love (although most would imagine French)! This is a great prompt with an amazing end result! Good job!
