En La Noche / In The Night

Spanish/English poem. In the night I hear many sounds...

En la noche
Oigo muchos sonidos
No aves en el cielo
Pero grillos en la hierba
Y buhos en los arboles
Y aquaceros cae
Pero encuentro
El sonido mas precioso
Es su suave aliento
Al lado de me

I hear many sounds
No birds in the sky
But crickets in the grass
And owls in the trees
And rain showers falling
But I find
The most precious sound
Is your soft breathing
Beside me

Author's Note

I felt like writing and it came out in Spanish. I half intended it to be in Spanish, but I wasn't sure if I was going to keep it that way or switch to English. I'm glad I kept it, because I feel the flow of the Spanish language works with this piece.

I like it, I think I like the English version more but it still fits with the Spanish in it :) Very pretty, the ending is adorable :D

Unfortunately, I do not know spanish. I wish I did, so that I could understand what you mean, but honestly, what doesn't flow when in a language so beautiful. I really like this poem, even in English.

Although I am currently learning Spanish and am not familiar with the whole of this beautiful language, I know enough to understand your poem. I agree with you in the sense of it flowing with the Spanish language. In English or in Spanish, this poem is a wonderful creation.
