You tied your words
With threads of lies
And slurred your speech
And let the night fly by
With every drink
I couldn’t think
Of the words to say
To make you leave
In a twisted kind of way
My sick mind wanted you to stay
And sew the seams of my lonely heart
I wanted to push you
Out that door
But you kissed me
And I leaned in for more
Broken bottles on the carpet
And the bedroom upstairs
Don’t think we ever made it there
Well lush, you got your way again
Over me on the floor
With my world in your hands
Superb!
Outstanding!
Although at the beginning it felt to banal, a bit to "I've read this somewhere already", but then it became so intense, powerful, I started reading faster and faster, the poem just flew through me, amazing write, dear friend, amazing.
The characters are so passionate and pulled apart by themselves, their struggle with each other, her lust and loneliness, her emotional unfulfillment, her anger that and surrendering. An ambivalent story written with poetic mastery.
Thank you very much!
