A Poem by Lexi Nicole
"

Her breath falls on the air in clouds of silver.

"

Her breath falls on the air
in clouds of silver that float on
the wind and are carried away
over the snowy mountaintops
and beyond the meadows that are
lost under sheets of ice and thick
winter blankets of frost and with
every breath there’s a story that
makes a journey through the
leaves and branches and beyond
the tops of mountains and those
stories drift into the valleys and land
on the ears of every creature and
sometimes,when the winds are right,
she’ll hear a call back from miles away
and her heart will jump and she’ll
throw back her head and her voice,
bouncing away on the silver clouds of
her breath, will ring out and bounce
off the moon and the stars and every
corner of the sleepy, frost-covered
world will know that she’s finally
found a home.

Interesting piece, like the way you manage to describe the comfort of finding a home, which is so hard to get...nice job
