“The limp is from the knife that found its way six inches deep in his leg when he tried to touch me. The sour look is for the second time he tried to touch me...

"

Three hours. That was how long it took Ryosuke to turn up, and when he did, he wasn’t alone. With him he had two women.

“Who are these people?” Unaki demanded to know as soon as she opened the door of their hotel room.

“You asked for info. Here it is. May we come in?” She hesitated a moment as she looked to Mayoko and Kesaru. They nodded, defenses ready just in case.

“Okay.” She stepped back to allow the three of them entrance. Inside, Mayoko stood in the bathroom doorway, hand behind her back. It was no doubt gripping a dagger. Kesaru sat cross-legged upon the dresser.

“I see you enjoy more than one woman.”

“Hello to you too love. You know, it took all my willpower to finally decide to come over here. Show some respect.”

“I’ll show you respect. Talk now or get a beating.” Kesaru rose.

“Take heed love, you won’t beat me. Although I do not wish to fight you, I will not reserve.” He regarded her with a coldness of his own. “These two ladies here were servants in the homes of two of the major conspirators who plotted your deaths. This,” he pointed to the skinny, big eyed woman on his left wearing a purple dress of silk, “is Tonya. She worked for Suichi Araki. He was one of the major players.”

“Araki? We killed his general and almost overthrew his reign didn’t we?” Mayoko remembered almost every battle they’d ever fought.

“Yes. And this is Sakura.” He indicated the other woman on his right with a look of fear upon her face. The first thing they noticed about her, she was Chinese. Secondly, she was wearing a bright red kimono and her black hair hung in two long braids. “She worked in the home of Tsugawa. You attacked him on behalf of Lord Tanaka. If memory serves, you burnt Tsugawa’s temple to the ground and killed his three wives.”

“The witches, they deserved it, taking innocent children from there homes and turning them into slaves. Vile, disgusting creatures.” Unaki’s eyes blazed as she spoke.

“You are right.” Sakura spoke. “For what you did, I thank you. My own daughter was one of the children they’d taken just before you raided. She would have been a slave in the home of the general. Thanks to your attack she was spared and is back home.” Sakura smiled at them.

“Your welcome.”

“I have to say, I thought you would be cruel and vicious, but I see I was wrong.” The woman, Tonya spoke now.

“No, you’re just seeing the nice side of us. Deep down, we’re more vicious than a panther in labor.”

“She’s right. She’s meaner than this.” Ryosuke put in his two cent with a smile.

“Oh. Well-”

“Um, could we please get back on topic?” Mayoko jumped in.

“Sorry. Sakura, tell them what you know.”

Sakura, now that she actually had to speak, seemed to turn into a shy child.

“Lord Tsugawa was not a happy man after you raided. He grew lonely and angry without the comfort of his three wives. So, one day, he called for all the Lords, even the one that had paid you to destroy his temple. They had a meeting. It was about you. He said you were too big of a hassle. That you cost each leader millions when instead of fighting each other, they should be getting rid of what may one day become a possible threat. They agreed with him. They called a truce between their feuding temples and decided that before they could solve the problems between them, they would have to get rid of the potential problem arising.” Sakura glanced up, then back down at her hands. “They said no more after that. Instead, they said that they would meet three nights later at the temple of Lord Araki.” The rest of the tale was turned over to Tonya.

“They came to us, to Temple Araki, on the night of the Bloodfest. No one in the castle knew what was happening. All we knew was that the Lords, all seven of them, had for some reason up and stopped fighting and decided to meet in secrecy.”

“In secrecy you say?” Unaki interrupted her.

“Yes.”

“Then, how is it you know of what they discussed?” At her question, a faint smile touched Tonya’s lips. “Lord Araki is a… lonesome man. He likes woman, and since his wife denies him the pleasure, he takes privileged others into his bed. I was one of those. It was the night before they all arrived that he told me I would be serving them that night and that I was to stand outside the door, should anything go wrong, seal the room, locking the Lords inside until the guards arrived.”

“I’m sorry.” Kesaru’s brows had furrowed and yet she still looked genuinely sad.

Tanya was nodded, silently pulling herself together. She sighed and continued. “They arrived at the third hour of darkness. Lord Raikon was the first. Lords Tsugawa, Tanaka, and Sakamoto arrived next, followed by Lord Masao, and lastly Lord Nobunaga.”

“Nobunaga? Akira Nobunaga was apart of this?” Unaki stood at his name. Akira Nobunaga was the only person in the entire demon world that they thought had some kind of innocence in the ploy. He was the oldest of the Supreme Lords. They had thought he would have been one to be opposed to the idea.

“Yes. They all arrived and went directly to the dining hall. I served and left, following my masters orders. They talked of the raids you had served out. An argument stared when they found out which one of them was targeting the other. It went on for only a few moments before it was broken up by Lord Raikon. The man is truly terrifying. His voice bellowed throughout the temple halls. He said that they all should be ashamed anyway, ordering hired killers to plunder and raid each other instead of taking care of things themselves.”

“Well he sure is one to talk, seeing as he was our reason for coming here in the first place.”

“What do you mean?”

“Nothing really. I just think it’s ironic that Raikon say such a thing when he was the one who sought us out and hired us to kill the former Lord Jiao.”

“Kanami Jiao? The great Lord of us all. He was one of the ones who wrote The Demon Lore. You killed him?”

“Yes, but it was all planned out by Raikon. It was so that he would become Alpha Supreme Lord.” No one said anything. They were too busy looking from the faces of Unaki to Mayoko to Kesaru. These three demons truly were a force to be reckoned with. Lord Jiao was no little man, nor was he a dimwitted man. If they had been able to kill him, it wasn’t because he had let them. They were just that good. That was scary.

“Continue with your story Tanya.” Mayoko spoke now for the first time since the two girls had started.

“Um…Lord Raikon, he was furious. He asked the others questions. Who would be willing to risk sacrificing their lives to rid themselves of you? Several grunted, but I heard it as they all replied. Raikon wanted to know if it were possible for them to combine their armies together, and they almost stared arguing again, but he said something. I didn’t hear. Raikon was the one who came up with the plan after that. Who would hire you this time? Along which path you would be captured. What they each wanted to do to you. I heard it all.” Tanya fell silent and then slowly, her eyes fell upon Unaki.

“Lord Sakamoto spoke of you the most. He said he had never heard of a woman named such as you. He said no woman should have the title that was befitting of a man. For taking such a title you should be punished. He said…He said he would show you. What…what did he do to you?

Unaki’s grey eyes were like steel as she fixed them upon her. “Things you will never be able to image. The worst kind of torture possible.” That wasn’t really an answer. “When was the last time you saw Lord Sakamoto?”

“Three months ago was my first time in nine years.”

“And did you notice his soured look and limp?”

“Y-yes.”

“Do you know what that they’re from?”

“No.”

“The limp is from the knife that found its way six inches deep in his leg when he tried to touch me. The sour look is for the second time he tried to touch me. I made it so he would never be able to procreate.”

Her meaning was clear. It was so clear that Ryosuke, obviously sickened by the idea, ran to the bathroom to vomit in the toilet.

“God! Could you have at least warned me of that? Man, I hope I never make you mad.” He came back in wiping his mouth.

“You’d best try not to.” She fixed a heated glare upon him.

“Right. Okay, well, I think it’s time I took these two ladies home. You got everything you need?”

“Yes. Thank you ladies.” Kesaru shook their hands as they stood. She escorted them out the door and closed it before letting her forehead rest against it.

“All of them. Can you believe that, all of them?” Mayoko laughed as she got up to walk into the bathroom. Unaki just stared at Kesaru when she turned around. “Do you know what I can’t wait for the most?” Mayoko came out and got into bed. Sitting there, she smiled. “I can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when we crucify them all.” With a smile and a little sigh, she lay down.
