Mommy

A Poem by Courtney Hough

Sparkling eyes,

Oh those baby blues.

Nothing but burning,

When I’m with you.

You’re my lifeline,

My reason.

My only purpose,

My changing season.

You,

My beautiful baby boy.

How could I have not wanted you?

You bring me pure joy.

Hold my thumb,

In your tiny hand.

Smile at mama,

You sweet little man.

For life was bitter,

And so was I.

But God knew what I needed,

As he sent you from the sky.

Be brave little one,

You’re already so strong.

Hold my love forever,

My heart is where you belong.
