You see the beauty in her? Yeah, the world once did too. Until her mind became her own, And then her body. Now she can’t see that beauty. The compassion, The love. It’s all fading. Like a distant memory. She knows who she is, But no one can accept it, And for that she cannot accept this world.
Its amazing how we cope with things in our lives. Sometimes the company we keep and interact with can give us negative influences if we allow it. Its no wonder why we constantly filter people throughout our lives. I'd say I see a woman that's grounded in who she is, not what others want her to be. For every naysayer I believe there's an optimist even if that feels like wishful thinking sometimes. You wrote an excellent poem and encourage you to write more. take care.

This offering seems to be about someone who has been ostracized by others for reasons which are not revealed. The last line is particularly puzzling. I relate the word "solace" to peace, but we are told the subject of the work was "made" to live in it until she returns home. I don't know what to make of it.
