Lifes CanvasA Poem by Courtney Hough
When you are born,
your canvas is bare. It's dull but perfect not even tear. As you are young, you start painting yellow. No worries as a child, life's easy and mellow. Brush strokes are even, as you start to paint green. You start to realize, everything is not as it seams. Orange and tan, exciting and warm. Everything's so bright, no sign of a storm. You start to learn anger, while colors start to spread. With the new strokes of change you paint the color red. Blue finds it's way in, while you learn of fear. Starting to be familiar, with a little thing called tears. Things lighten with pink, as you fall in love. And feeling so precious, as your painting a dove. You have to have some black, to show the darkest of times. It won't be much, can't last long, it'll only be an outline. The masterpiece nearly finished, with your final color white. It defines beauty of the art, shows you won the fight. The masterpiece finished the canvas completely filled. It's inspiration to other artist, With the beauty yours wills. As your painting of life, is honored and adored. You've given inspiration to others as none have been able to before. So paint all the colors of life, make beauty that's never been seen. Because you could be helping with mine, to me, you have no idea what you mean Live life to the fullest use every color in the rainbow. Make it beautiful for all to see, and let its grace and light show. © 2016 Courtney HoughReviews
