Rust

Rust

A Poem by Courtney Hough

There’s nothing but burning sky,

In this desolate land.

And I’m sitting in my own grave,

Digging through this sand.

All that I have,

Is a rusted spoon.

Nothing else to get me out,

Watching the clock in the sky hit noon.

This world is decaying,

And I’m trapped in it’s core.

Nothing to help me,

I’m a slave once more.
