StabilityA Poem by IrenaIn school we had to write a poem about something in nature so I wrote about a tree. That sounds like a boring description but I promise its about more than just a tree.:)Tethered
firmly to the ground, Its
roots spread out in a web of complexity, Holding
it firmly in place, Yet
each one plunging in and out of the soil, Like
the Lochness Monster, In
a lake of dirt. A
tree has such stability, A
quality to be admired, In
such a changing world. Minutes
pass. Birds
perch on the branches. Bugs
flitter about the leaves. Breezes
pass like invisible spirits. Yet
the tree stands firm, A
strong presence, Ever
watching, Barely
changing, And
still, it seems content. © 2013 Irena |
