People you acquired your morals and values from
The ones that are with you no matter how badly you mess up

Is it what you have toward an animal?
With their nonjudgmental ways
They just know when and how to make you smile
Their unfailing faithfulness until the day of death

Is it what you have toward a man?
How your stomach tingles as he touches your hand
You can find comfort in the warmth of his hug
Knowing his kindness and how he accepts you for you
