Chapter 1 - The Invasion Begins

Date : March 17, 2150

Location : Brock Hall, Highoak D.C, Neumage

Today was a very special day for me. Well it would have been. It was graduation day for every spy in training, where we would become official spies and be able to do real missions out on the field. I was especially excited because I would make history that day - the youngest male to become a spy at age 16. That day, I was with my good friend, William Langlois. "Are you ready? I'm kinda nervous you know." he said to me. "I'm feeling nervous, but at the same time I can't wait. I'll get to go on real missions, and you'll be my partner." I said. "That's true. I can't wait for my first mission." he told me. "At this time, we would like to call forth the males that will be graduating this year." said the director of the secret service. "James Renaud, Robert Solomon, ..." until finally "...William Langlois, and last but certainly not least, Mathew Adler." I felt so much joy at that moment. "Every single one of us here is proud of you and the work that you've accomplished. Now you will become official agents, and will have real missions. Are you ready?" she asked. "Yes ma'am!" we all responded. "Very well then, I officially promote you all to field agents. Congratulations!"

We were all very excited, as we were finally field agents. After the ceremony, there was a banquet with delicious pasta, salad, and bread sticks. It was a classic meal, but everybody liked it. After celebrating with my friends for about an hour, I had to go to the washroom. When I was making my way back though, I saw somebody that I didn't recognize walking in the hallways of the hall. "Hello Sir, what are you doing here?" I asked. It was then when I saw his face and I realized. This was our enemy of the state. No other than the villain that goes by the name of "Skrode". Nobody knew why. I started to chase him, and he made his way outside. I began to fight him. I punched him, and then he took out his weapon - a semi-automatic charge rifle. This rifle can shoot powerful projectiles, and charge up to shoot 5 of them at once. I took out my weapon as well, a blast pistol. This pistol can shoot projectiles, and when they hit their target, they shock them for 5 seconds. We began a gunfight in the parking lot of Brock Hall. 

He shot his rifle, while I hid behind a car. "Come out wherever you are, you worthless scum!" he said sharply. Then, he stopped and look around. I ran behind him and shot my pistol, and the bullets instantly shocked him and he lay on the floor. After this, a black, flying vehicle was landing right behind me. "Could it be?" I asked myself. Then just as I thought, the president himself walked out of the vehicle and made his way over to me. "Do you know who this is?" he asked me. "Of course, this is no other than the enemy of the state, Skrode." I responded. "And you took him done all by yourself?" he asked. "Yes sir. I saw him in the hallways of the hall and chases him out here and took him down." I said. He smiled. "Well done son. What is your name?" I was about to respond, but that's when it happened. A loud noise was heard followed by a bright light coming from above. "What in the world?" the president asked. Then another bright light, and that's when I realized, it was about to attack. "Take cover now!" I yelled. And then we all saw it. An enormous alien ship and it charged a powerful beam of energy right in the middle of the presidential house, which was 3 blocks away from Brock Hall. 

It instantly destroyed our whole country. Buildings, houses, monuments, everything was gone - including people. Luckily, when the beam was making its way down, my reaction was to use a device that I had with me at all time - a force field bubble. This device can instantly create a force field around the person that activates it, but it only works for ten seconds. Fortunately, ten seconds is all we needed to be safe. I managed to protect the president, two of his bodyguards and myself. "Are you okay Mr.President?" I asked. "Yes, I am, but not the city". he said. That was when I looked around, and saw that the city was completely destroyed and I realized that all of my friends were gone. Then I looked up and I saw a massive alien mother ship, ready to land on our country. I also saw smaller alien ships landing faster than the mother ship, and then I saw one that was coming directly for us! It landed, and three aliens came out. I had no where to escape.

this felt too fast-paced. A lot of interesting action here though.
