Friday NightsA Poem by SoHopefulMemeories from marching band to help me forget about the 7ft of snow outside.
Warm September Afternoons
fade into a early fall night and I anxiously wait behind the bright lights. Cooing melodies of happiness set the tone for me and we have no reason but to smile. Cadances of joy dance through all of us; The team, the fans and the band. Heat hugs the air and the breeze kisses it lightly while we sweat ... But wearing this Viking uniform is worth it. Laughing, talking, dancing Sweating, singing, conting... The last five minutes on the clock Until HALFTIME.! Our time. Cheers roar from the crowd As nervousness traces our insides But with cofident glares to each other We inhale the September air and take the field. There's nothing like Football Friday Nights. © 2010 SoHopefulAuthor's Note
