Decision

Decision

A Poem by Megan

You have me so tightly spun,

caught up in your smile,

lost in the echo of your  voice,

collapsing with every touch

But I am barely surviving.

This sadness that follows,

never departs from my side.

It eats away until I have nothing left to give.

How many more times must you make me cry?

Until this pain becomes unbearable.

My thoughts are shattered

from the words you have not spoken,

the words you refuse to say.

Alone in my own world

I stand before a path.

It twists and turns in every direction,

no explanation to where it might lead me.

Despair creeps over me;

the love I feel for you is over flowing, bursting through my pores.

Misery is my only company.

A dim glow becomes apparent off in the distance.

It begins to grow, overtaking the once darkness.

Do I follow this light?

Is it your love?

Or it is a new beginning?

The time has come but I have yet to decide.

This was really amazing to read and I can totally relate to it. You have a beautiful writing style. I like that the story is very clear, and you don't have to do much guessing as to what the poem means. Nicely done :)
