A Subtle Dance

A Subtle Dance

A Poem by Dano

i've been staring through the blood stains
clinging to life, cracked down the middle
can you see your handiwork
built to crumble, lying in the wreckage
all you deserve for this
this beautiful artwork of destruction
i made you one last gift
built to last, this rope
tough as the hands that strung it
awaiting your arrival
dressed for death
a wretched few stand by
waiting, so this portrait may begin
the colors have been chosen
dusk approaches the horizon
as you ascend the stairs
silence grips the night, all eyes drawn to you
gently you lay your head through
as i tighten the noose
the portrait stands close to done
one last lie, don't shed a tear
everything will be alright
my words slip in as i pull back
leaving her dangling i walk away

great scenario. I don't know what's happening. But I like the imagery. The painting, the lesion, the girl if she is a girl, or a doll, and the trace, great write, ----:D ---mishel
