THE SMILING SNAKES

THE SMILING SNAKES

A Poem by honey
"

Deception, Betrayal

"

Slithering through dark corners
Chameleons in the shadows
Smiling beautifully but heart’s a poison
Oh Son of Adam, you thought that was genuine?

Caressing your naivety
Witches conjuring in the thunderstorm
Softly smothering you with lightning
Oh Daughters of Eve, for how long will you be called fools?

Releasing their venoms slowly
Snakes of a forest unknown
Awaiting your pending doom while faking care
Sons of Adam, Daughters of Eve, BEWARE OF THE SMILING SNAKES !

I agree my friend. Never trust a smiling snake. Words and promises mean little. We need people are honest, strong and true. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

You are welcome dear honey.
There are snakes everywhere, waiting to inflict tgeur venom on the unsuspecting. I enjoyed the metaphor here.

Thank you Chris. I’ve dealt with a lot of snakes this year, it’s exhausting .
