INSANITY

INSANITY

A Poem by honey

Demons conquered, beds laid
Looking forward to his fruits and more roses
Unfortunate events and disappointments
And then, a bitter sorrow

A Thief in the thick lonely darkness
A faceless terror invading his mind
Thuds and heavy punches
A deafening silence!!!

Hanging in a dark hollow
Strange man! Strange mind! Strange world!
Robbed and stripped of his sanity
Left to be devoured by the horrid mystery.
INSANITY!!!

Smiling through the battles
Laughing through the horror
Declared and assumed healthy
The darkness consumed him
SUICIDE!!!

sanity i never could figure out what that word really means it seems to have a sliding scale definition these days all of us are sane and or non of us are sane.... but one tragedy can and does tip the scales of functionality for us all some are I think just more sensitive than others and some can never escape the vortex of cyclical thought to see the outside to look in and on the wretched for what it is:( that is of course just my opinion tho:/

You are right Robert. Some of us are indeed more sensitive than others.

Darkness can overtake us dear Honey.
"Smiling through the battles
Laughing through the horror
Declared and assumed healthy
The darkness consumed him
SUICIDE!!!"
The above lines are true. I saw old soldiers drink themselves to death. Slow suicide. Powerful and worthwhile poetry shared.

I agree honey. We must gather our mind back sometimes and you are welcome.

This is a tale of madness and maybe abuse. The speaker sounds like a survivor. Sometimes the demons become unbearable. Maybe death is not really wanted, only relief from the pain.
