THE NATION

THE NATION

A Poem by honey

We’re drowning in a sea of grief
The nation's struggles in a sheaf
I clutch to the certitude that life is a thief
To experience the unimpeded stream of false relief

I’m blinded by the thick fog of June
Death lays its icy hands on the non immune
Still the nation awaits more gloom
Was the soil of the land cursed with doom?

I question the influence of our antecedents
The reeks of villainy of their descendents
The incognizance to better politics of the younger residents
And hear the piercing cries of agony of the citizens

The blue-bloods condemn and exploit the nation
The masses are left in damnation
I search for the hope for my generation
But it has found a way to survive without the nation

The nation is condemned to destruction
But with a light at every corner of the nation
The moonlight sparkles better than a gypsy
Hope is on the horizon sweety
