SO MANY YESTERDAYS

SO MANY YESTERDAYS

A Poem by Lou R

My fears try to tie me to the ground

And it seems all I can do is cry

I feel as though I am earthbound

And I can never touch the sky

I've wasted too much time on unimportant things

Letting my dreams just pass me by

I'd like to see what the future brings:

See if I can learn to fly

But it's so hard to see the sun

When it's tears that cloud your eyes

When your sorrow's just begun

And the truth turns into lies

You forget so many yesterdays

And the hope that lies ahead

So much love, in so many ways

So much that should have been said.
