There is a certain age that I adore in both boys and girls. It's the age when they are old enough to venture out on their own and form their own ideas and be full of life and excitement, but not so old that they're too cool for their parents. It's such a small window, but that's what this poem made me think about. One suggestion for us older folks, don't color your words yellow; I could barely read it!! :P Maybe orange??
Ahhh, for naive yesterdays in carefree rapture! : )
Sooner, or later, we all give into the loss of innocence … it is unavoidable, and in my personal point of view, entirely missed in so very-very many ways.
For instance, I think I shall always crave real, deep, totally surrendered love, the way it felt for the first time. I've always looked, always hoped, always yearned and ached for it, but it just never came again, even after literally hundreds of tries … still, like you say, "never accepting the defeat".
I guess, in some ways, I'm still innocent, ya think?
Thank you, Dear Poetess — you've swooned my heart a gentle turn of yearning pain … see what I mean? ⁓ Richard : )
Little children can be naughty but above all they are full of charm, like this poem. You have this special way of bathing everyone in a glow of warm love, seeing only the best and kissing even the worst.
Childhood..... reminds me of my poem on the same topic.. Too nice one as usual... I like the topic Innocence in an innocent way... Those were the best days of our lives ... No doubt in that...
miraculous poem once again!!!😊😉😘
