When you're tired of LifeA Poem by Holly SoquesSamuel Johnson once said that 'If a man is tired of London, he is tired of life', but what if life had more problems than London?
When you're tired of Life they say you're tired of London, of family, friends, work and duties.
When you're tired of Life they say you're sad, depressed, or downright bloomin' lazy.
The doc gives you pills to pop, the pop gives you words, like birds' t**d, for 'thought' - something, by the by, that you're not so sure you can do so well no more - so that all you can think is please, No More.
The lemons keep coming but no one can see that the juicer is broken beyond repair - no lemonade today. Or ever. If 'ever' is even a possibility. 'sa luxury. i.e. beyond me.
'm no' worthy. no' deservin' of anything better. Isn't tha' what you said? What y'all said?
It's what Life said to me. © 2012 Holly SoquesAuthor's Note
