Mama

Mama

A Poem by Summer Lynn

Mama, I see bodies in the trees

Mama, I think those bodies are me

Mama, I surely hope I’m wrong

But Mama, please tell me, how long have I been gone?

Mama, I’m scared

Mama, I’m cold

Mama, what if the truth is, I hate getting old

Mama, I need help

Mama, I need you

Mama, I will just keep quiet, as the good girls do.
