Double back, lines

Double back, lines

A Poem by lizardbrain

I just don't know where the line is or
where I should be drawing it.
I've never been good at straight lines
Only curving ones that double back in loophole
after loophole until nobody knows
what ground they're standing on
or where to step next and suddenly
it's a minefield of loopholes
that made sense in my head but
now it's playing out in front of me,
in the lives of real people
flesh and bone and questioning eyes
in front of me, looking at me and asking me,
just where do I stand, all I can do
is turn around until I know they've left
and then I turn back to survey the pattern
on the ground of lines I've seen before,
none of them straight and
they're too knotted to work out,
so I walk away too.

i relate to this write. I have lived my whole life never in black and white or on a straight line...grey area and curves and decisions i might have questioned later or felt glad that i went outside the box.
we have to give ourselves a break sometimes....understand that decisions in life are not that clear cut...and we can only know what the correct one was for sure after we have experienced our decision...
