thoughts trying to get somewhere

thoughts trying to get somewhere

A Poem by lizardbrain

this book or that
this life or none
this skin or bare floor
bare floor

everything i love i hate
and everything i hate i love
like time and words and language
i struggle with them all but then
i hold them to my chest
these words can never
encompass the purest version of experience
but then i happen across a passage that says everything i wish i could
and i'm swooning again
haven't you ever wondered if your first language is not the one that your soul truly speaks?
