A_Mothers_LoveA Poem by Heidi FranklinA Mother's Day poemA mother’s love begins the moment she discovers, She isn’t just one, but carrying another. The fear of the unknown, the pain, the tears, Soon will all vanquish the moment they appear. An instantaneous bond-a force unbreakable, A love at first sight that is unmistakable. From their first breath of air to when they walk down the
aisle, Her own happiness, reflected in her child’s smile. A mother’s love is selfless, patient and forgiving, A child gives her new reason and purpose for living. To be a shoulder to cry on, a voice of reason, To be a supportive sanctuary no matter what the season. In the blink of an eye she becomes teacher, A hero, a shrink, an affectionate healer. A steadfast super fan, a master of discipline, An empathetic ear when no one else is listening. As the years go on, a mother’s love evolves, Living and learning together as time dissolves. From nurturer, to instructor, to adviser, to friend, The love of a mother will surely never end. © 2015 Heidi FranklinAuthor's Note
