VowsA Poem by Heidi FranklinThese are the vows that I wrote and read on my wedding dayThe day I met you my life began, Never did I think I’d meet such a genuine man.
So kind and thoughtful, affectionate and carin’ The man I’d dreamt of all along was Darrin
Because of you I laugh, because of you I smile I always knew you’d be the one at the end of the aisle
Life with you is adventurous, easy and fun The love we share is second to none.
I love you for who you are, and who I am when I’m with you Every moment is special no matter what we do.
Our personalities align-so silly and playful You always take time to tell me I'm beautiful
I vow to be your respectful, supportive partner in crime My love for you grows stronger all the time.
I vow to encourage you through good times and bad Trust you, confide in you, cheer you up when you’re sad.
You are my other half and always put me at ease. We have already made so many memories
I vow to have the patience that love demands, And appreciate those jokes only we understand
We will face challenges together, no matter what they are I promise to share your joys, even if it’s Nascar
I vow to not keep score, even if I’m winning, Cherish where we came from, where we’re going, and this new beginning
My hand is yours to hold, my heart is yours to keep I will kiss you each night, as we lay down to sleep
I will be your biggest fan, in all you do in life, I feel blessed and honored to be called your wife.
Today and always best friends, lovers and soulmates I can’t wait to begin our journey that awaits
Today is the day we will say “I do” With all my heart Darrin, I love you. © 2015 Heidi FranklinReviews
