Heina for Me

Heina for Me

A Poem by David

What would I do for your smile?
I would love you...
I would hold you...
I would protect you
from anything remotely harmful
And if you had to walk through hell,
I would lift you above the flames
and carry you to the other side
If you had to swim to the ocean floor
I would take a deep breath
and hand you my lungs
so you could survive
In the darkest nights
I would set my soul on fire
just to give you light
And if you decided to laugh,
I would put my entire heart
into laughing with you
And if you decided to cry,
my shoulder would lie there
til covered in oceans of blue
But if you decided to smile,
that beautifully beautiful smile,
I'd shoot down the moon
so there'd be no competition
for you
